Roy Peter Clark of the Poynter Institute will be the keynote speaker at ACES 2012 national conference in New Orleans.
Clark is a longtime writing instructor and author of more than a dozen books on writing and language, including “Writing Tools: 50 Essential Strategies for Every Writer,” “The Glamour of Grammar” and, most recently, “Help! For Writers.” He has been at Poynter, where he is vice president and senior scholar, since 1979.
“My admiration for copy editors is such that it has been a hope that I’d one day get invited to ACES,” Clark said about getting the keynote invitation.
We’re thrilled to have him, and can’t wait to see what he — and his piano — will cook up at the ACES banquet.
